School Leaders is an education-facilities consulting firm serving California's K-14 community. We assist school districts, county offices of education, and community colleges with planning, funding, and delivering facilities. Services span bond program management, facility master planning, needs assessments, fiscal stabilization, strategic planning, superintendent searches, and leadership training. The firm also operates an affiliated CSLB-licensed general contractor, School Leaders Construction Management, providing construction management, lease-leaseback, and CUPCCAA project delivery.
About the Role
Lead a district's bond program day to day as the named Senior Project Manager in our proposals: program schedule and cash flow, architect and construction-manager coordination, DSA and OPSC submittals, board and Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee reporting, and supervision of the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager assigned to the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the master program schedule, cash-flow forecast and monthly program report
- Coordinate architects, DSA-certified inspectors, construction managers and contractors across concurrent projects
- Prepare and present to governing boards and Citizens' Bond Oversight Committees
- Manage DSA approval, inspection and closeout and OPSC funding submittals
- Supervise and develop the PM/APM assigned to the program
- Serve as the district's primary day-to-day contact
Qualifications
- 10+ years in K-12 or public-agency capital programs
- Direct experience on 3+ California school bond programs
- Working fluency with DSA, OPSC/School Facility Program, CUPCCAA and lease-leaseback delivery
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field
- CCM or PMP preferred
Compensation & Benefits
$140,000–$180,000 base
Plus profit-sharing pool on program margin, paid annually. Full benefits.
