About School Leaders

School Leaders is an education-facilities consulting firm serving California's K-14 community. We assist school districts, county offices of education, and community colleges with planning, funding, and delivering facilities. Services span bond program management, facility master planning, needs assessments, fiscal stabilization, strategic planning, superintendent searches, and leadership training. The firm also operates an affiliated CSLB-licensed general contractor, School Leaders Construction Management, providing construction management, lease-leaseback, and CUPCCAA project delivery.

About the Role

Manage three to eight concurrent modernization and new-construction projects from planning through DSA closeout for the school districts we serve; own budgets, schedules, change orders, RFI and submittal coordination, and monthly board reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee facility and construction projects with district leaders, construction managers and architectural teams
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets and compliance requirements
  • Prepare reports and presentations for district boards and stakeholders
  • Assist with facility needs assessments and Facility Master Plan updates
  • Conduct regular site visits and stakeholder meetings
  • Manage DSA permitting, inspection coordination and project closeout

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years in school facilities planning, construction project management or capital program oversight in K-12 public education
  • Knowledge of California school facilities regulations, bond programs and DSA processes including permitting, inspections and closeout
  • OPSC/School Facility Program and CUPCCAA familiarity strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, public administration, business or related field
  • CCM or PMP preferred

Compensation & Benefits

$115,000–$150,000 base

Plus profit-sharing pool on program margin, paid annually. Full benefits.
