Construction Manager / Project Manager — Los Angeles / Riverside / Orange County

The Construction Manager / Project Manager — Los Angeles / Riverside / Orange County is a full-time, on-site role based in the Los Angeles, Riverside, and Orange County region, supporting school districts with facilities planning and construction program implementation. In this role, you coordinate and oversee facility and construction projects — including bond-funded capital programs — from planning through closeout.

You will collaborate with district leaders, construction managers, and architectural teams; monitor project schedules, budgets, and compliance; and prepare clear reports and presentations for district boards and stakeholders. The role assists with facility needs assessments, supports updates to Facility Master Plans, and helps improve related operational systems and processes. It also involves regular site visits, stakeholder meetings, and problem-solving to keep projects aligned with educational goals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in school facilities planning, construction project management, or capital program oversight, preferably within K–12 public education
• Knowledge of California school facilities regulations, bond programs, and DSA processes, including permitting, inspections, and project closeout
• Strong skills in budget tracking, schedule management, and vendor coordination, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with district leadership, site administrators, architects, construction managers, and community stakeholders
• Proficiency in project management software and basic productivity tools (spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software) to track and report progress
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, board materials, and stakeholder updates
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on practical, results-driven solutions
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, public administration, business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus
• Experience working directly with school districts or public agencies

Compensation

$125,000 base salary, plus profit sharing and performance incentives. With profit sharing and incentives, anticipated total income exceeds $250,000 in years one and two. Includes a full benefits package.
