In September 2020, the Berry Creek community in Butte County, California, suffered catastrophic loss when the North Complex Fire destroyed Berry Creek Elementary School. For this small rural community, the school was more than a campus — it was the center of learning, connection, and hope. School Leaders was honored to step in on behalf of the California Department of Education, providing services pro bono to ensure that Berry Creek could begin its journey from devastation to recovery.
